Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Merlot 2020 is a powerful and complex BC red from estate vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos. Aged 14 months in a mix of French, Hungarian, American, and Caucus oak barrels, then bottled unfined and unfiltered, this wine displays rich aromas of black plum, blackberry, cocoa, graphite, and dried olive with hints of sage and violet. The palate is full-bodied with ripe yet firm tannins, crisp acidity, and a long finish of dark cherry, mint, and marzipan. Available in magnum — an exceptional Okanagan Merlot built to age.
