Seated at the southern end of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Bates Ranch grows cabernet at a high elevation (around 2,100 feet) which translates into the wine's structure and characteristics.  An aromatic bouquet of plumb and laurel opens on the palate with dark berries and mountain earth and just a hint of cool herbs. 

Serving temp: Cellar temp around 65 degrees, stored in a dark and cool spot.
