Kilchoman - Casado Cask 2022

Kilchoman Casado 2022 is a limited edition Islay single malt with 2014 distillate matured six years in ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon casks, then aged two more years in Portuguese red wine vats, bottled at 46% ABV. The nose is peaty and maritime with ripe plums, cherries, marzipan, and sea spray. The palate delivers dry, salty peat smoke with apricot and lemon fruit notes and a spicy red wine influence. The finish is long, hot, and sweet with stewed fruit and balancing smoke.
